Ireland West
Lough Inagh Fishery consists of fishing on Lough Inagh and Derryclare Lough, as well as fishing on the outflowing rivers from both loughs. There are six bank beats at the Lough Inagh fishery in addition to the lough fishing. The beats are rotated daily between the Inagh Valley Inn and Lough Inagh Lodge Hotel. The spring salmon fishing begins here in early March and peaks in May. The fish average 10 llb and fish up to 25 lb have been taken. The grilse come in June and are taken from the bank or from a boat on the loughs up to the end of September. There are six named bank beats: Corloo, the Trout Pool, Derryclare Butts, Glendalough Butts, Pine Island and Green Point. Boats are available on both Derryclare Lough and Lough Inagh. Lough Inagh is an excellent lake for both brown trout and sea trout - the best months for this lough are June-September.
