The Sligo County Library endeavour’s to provide services and resources to meet all of their customer’s needs. If they cannot meet them they will do their best to find out who can. The public library remains one of the few civic spaces, which offers an equal and unreserved welcome to each member of the community. Reading and borrowing continue at the heart of all public libraries, but a lot more is available including • Books, Audio-Visual Material, DVDs • Reference and Local Studies • Special Requests • Free Internet Access • Children’s Library • School Library Service • Information Service • Library Activities and Events • Periodicals and Newspapers • Inter-Library Loans Service These sources and more provide information pertinent to genealogical research which can be obtained and studied. The library also offers 14 personal computers for public Internet access. The library is located in Sligo town, County Sligo.
