Take the Sligo-Tubercurry Road past Collooney and Ballynacarrow. Continue towards Tobercurry, turning right at the signpost for Lavagh and the Ox Mountain drive at the foot of Muckalty. Knock-na-Shee Mountain is in front of you, it is rich in archaeological remains. Drive through Lavagh to Court Abbey, a 15th century Franciscan monastery. Continue past the foot of Knocknashee, towards the mountains, turning left at Ladies Brae. The views at the top, of Ballisodare and Sligo Bay, are beautiful. Continueto Skreen and head away from Sligo town, turning right off the main road to take a detour to Aughris. Rejoin the main road and drive left. At Dromore West, go left at a signpost for Ballina, then follow the sign for Lough Easkey. Then back to Tobercurry.
