Original Print Gallery

In the midst of the pleasant cobbled streets of Dublin's Temple Bar the Original Print Gallery showcases the best of Irish and International printmaking. Items on exhibition include contemporary handmade limited edition prints, etchings, lithographs, woodcuts and silk screens. Irish printmakers are producing some of the most stimulating, powerful and imaginative work in the visual arts. Printmaking is a highly skilled, unique, complex, artistic process employed by artists since the 16th century. Contemporary printmakers now incorporate and embrace new technologies, producing rich, textural multidimensional imagery. At the Original Print Gallery the range and subtlety apparent through the different techniques within the print medium, (etching lithography, screenprint, relief print, mezzotint, monoprint to name a few) is vast and comes as a very pleasant surprise to many visitors. From dynamic abstract works in large format to the more subtle landscape and figurative works, the gallery has much to offer.
