Long synonymous as a post Christmas racing festival and affording a chance to catch up after the break, Leopardstown Racecourse in south county Dublin is equally renowned for its racing throughout the year and its reputation as an unparalleled social venue is second to none. Host to some of the biggest races in the calendar, such as the Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes and the much celebrated steeplechase, The Hennessey Cognac Gold Cup. At Leopardstown, there’s always something to look forward to. If a wonderful atmosphere, top class facilities and the thrill of a great race are your thing, then make your way to the foothills of the Dublin Mountains and join the thousands of race goers. Built in 1888 by Captain George Quin, it was purchased by the Racing Board (now Horse Racing Ireland)in 1967 and has gone from strength to strength since. Whether you’re in the running for most stylish, or are just there to soak it all in, Leopardstown will always set your heart racing.
