Listowel Writers' Week

Listowel Kerry - Ireland South

Writers' Week is a literary festival devoted to the cause of the writer. It aims to guide, direct and enthuse the emerging writer, to befriend the established writer and provide a practical platform for their artistic output. This ideal is achieved through annual literary competitions, three day workshops, readings, lectures, book launches and children’s programme. Writers' Week aims to be inclusive and to make the arts accessible to everybody. To succeed with this ambition there is a broad and comprehensive literary programme to cater for all tastes. The event will host an array of authors, national and international, who will read, teach, lecture, provide music and words. In addition, Writers' Week also hosts a fringe festival which will include theatre, art exhibitions, informal poetry and song writing corners, literary pub trail, literary walks and bus tours.
