It’s no surprise that the oldest yacht club in the world, the Royal Cork Yacht Club, was founded in 1720, and Ireland’s seas and lakes, clear waters, generous breezes and remarkable natural beauty have made it a favourite place to sail.

Whatever your sailing needs, Ireland has plenty to offer from excellent ISA and RYA approved sailing schools for beginners to advanced levels; expert companies organising bareboat, skippered, crewed and flotilla charters and friendly, well-equipped marinas for those bringing their own boats to Ireland.

The links under the map on the right-hand side of this page will help you find a full listing of all sailing schools, charter companies and marinas all around the island of Ireland.
