Climbing holidays

Irish mountains may be low compared to many of the world’s towering peaks, but some still present a hefty challenge. Some climbing experience is essential as marked trails are few and far between, and when the mist and fog swirls in, navigation can get seriously tough.

To the experienced climber, though, the thrill of the climb, the rough terrain and the unpredictable weather all combine to make this paradise island.

Please remember safety first: if you’re going climbing, make sure to keep a minimum of four in any party. If you’re unsure, get the expertise of a local guide, remembering to leave your time of departure and expected return time with a responsible person before you set off.
