Waterville Kerry - Ireland South

Waterville on the most westerly tip of the Ring of Kerry. Sam Snead said it all when he referred to the links as the ‘beautiful monster’. It is a superb golfing experience, and offers the golfer not only a test of the highest order but also a links presentation, which is second to none. Celebrated American GoIf architect Tom Fazio was called in a few years ago to examine how a relatively flat part of the links could be given a more dramatic treatment. His solution was the introduction of two new layouts at six and seven along with the restructuring of a further five holes. The result has been an outstanding success paraphrased by Fazio: “Everything at Waterville is spectacular… the setting is one of the best that I have seen anywhere in golf”. Tiger Woods, Mark O’Meara, Lee Janzen and David Duval are members here!
