Royal Portrush Golf Links presents avenues of tumbling fairways squeezing their way through classic hill and hollow linkslands. A golfing experience to remember, in 1951 it became the only links in Ireland to stage the British Open. There are so many memories to take from a round here, but probably the most dramatic is the 205 yard par 3 ‘Calamity Corner’ at 14. High tee, high green, trouble left, deep seated chasm right, on shore winds hammering in – picture the shot, landing area to front left of green and let it roll in – heaven!
