Portstewart Londonderry - Northern Ireland

Situated on Northern Ireland's magnificent Causeway Coast Portstewart’s stunning opening hole, elevated tee, with dog-leg right to the green whets the appetite for what is to follow. Redesigned in 1992 with a revised layout and the introduction of seven new holes, this links is set in classic links country amid towering sand dunes. It hosted the Irish Amateur Close Championship in 1992 and it was after this that Portstewart emerged from under the shadow of its famous Portrush neighbour to stand independently as a truly great links course. The Strand Links is indisputably the jewel in Portstewart’s crown for both quality of game and scenery. There are spectacular views at every turn, the blue Donegal Hills, the rolling Atlantic and the tranquil estuary of the River Bann are amongst the many to gaze at between holes.
