Rugby League World Cup 2013 will be the global sporting event of the year. The event is being co-hosted by England and Wales and Thomond Park Limerick is the only venue in Ireland to host a game when Ireland take on pre-tournament favourites Australia. Rugby League is a fantastic spectator sport and World Cups of any sort do not come around too often, so make sure you do not miss this fixture. This will be a really competitive fixture - Australia made it to the finals of the last World Cup in 2008. The 2013 Rugby League World Cup will be the fourteenth staging of the tournament. Fourteen teams will contest it: Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Cook Islands and the United States. New Zealand are the defending champions.
