Kill —County Kildare
Kill is a pretty village, which lies on the border of Co. Kildare & Co. Dublin. The town has won numerous awards in the prestigious Tidy Towns Competition. Behind the main street is a large earthen enclosure on Kill Hill and a mote, which offers the visitor an impression of the towns' ancient past. Kill has been identified as the burial place of the Kings of Leinster. The famous Goff's Bloodstock Sales Ring, where over half of all Irish bred horses are sold, is located nearby. Kill is steeped in Kildare's equestrian tradition with a number of riding schools in the area.
