Dromore —County Fermanagh
A small historic Cathedral town, Dromore lies where the river Lagan rushes on towards Belfast and the sea. The town actually takes its name from the Gaelic Druim Mor meaning 'great ridge or 'mound', so it's no surprise that you'll come across the Dromore Mound only a hundred metres from the town centre. The mound one of the finest examples of a Norman Motte & Bailey in Ireland.
