Absolutely FREE musical things to do in Belfast!
In the words made famous by John McEnroe all those years ago, "You cannot be serious", well, yes, actually we are. There are gigs, events and whole festivals all over this fantastic city where you don’t have to spend a penny.
We've got larks in the parks, music on the buses, jazz in the Square, laughs on the street and all manner of festivals.
The Festival of Fools in late April will explain the crazy costumes, live music and roars of laughter you’ll hear all around the city. Nothing but the quirkiest and most astounding street theatre acts are rounded up, from all over the world, to entertain the streets of Belfast with hilarious comedy, dance and cooking demos (with naked chefs of course).
Féile an Phobail Festival is a community festival in August that’s jam-packed with free carnivals, debates, workshops and exhibitions all around West Belfast.
And we’ve got even more good reasons to hit the town in Belfast, at no cost to you, check these out:

Traditional Music Sessions
On any given evening, the sounds of bodhràns, banjos and fiddles can be heard leaking out of the various trad sessions going on in Belfast pubs.
