Description
Carrickfergus Antrim - Northern IrelandA Georgian-style home full of character with spacious gardens, a cosy ambiance and views of Belfast Lough where, 100 years ago at noon on 2nd April 1912, the Titanic set out from Belfast on her way to Southhampton to begin her maiden and fateful voyage.
To the rear is an uninterrupted view over our family farm ( complete with resident Llama ) with a backdrop of the escarpment of Knockagh Hill.
Be assured of a friendly welcome – and don’t be deterred by Jess (spaniel/collie) with her enthusiastic barking! Relax under the pear tree in the shade or take advantage of the Proprietor's local knowledge to explore some of Ireland's hidden treasures!
As for breakfast - what takes your fancy? Irish wheaten bread with a dollop of homemade damson and cardamon preserve, a bacon and brie croissant, Eggs Benedict, porridge oats spiced up with apple and cinnamon compote or simply indulge in a traditional Irish breakfast!
Rose Cottage lies along the A2 Coastal Route to Giant’s Causeway & Royal Portrush Golf Club via historic Carrickfergus with it's well-preserved Norman castle and scenic villages of Glenarm and Carnlough. Belfast City Centre 15 minutes / Belfast Ferry Terminal 10 mins / Larne Ferry Terminal 30 mins Belfast George Best City Airport 20 mins / Belfast International Airport 35 mins / Bus-stop 50 metres / Train Station 1 km
