Daffodil Cottage is the ideal base for a family wishing to explore the North Antrim Coast. It is a 100 year old property with a large, secure garden (ideal for children). There is ample parking and additional storage for bikes and surf gear. Many of the original features of the property can still be seen today. The property is within 3 miles of the world famous Giants Causeway and is situated on the coast road with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

The property is 4 miles from Bushmills and this village has adequate shops for all your self-catering needs. There are also a number of excellent restaurants including The Bushmills Inn. The Busmills Distillery, established in 1608 is situated at the top end of the village-it has its own shop and coffee shop. Guided tours are available. The nearest main town is Coleraine and it is 13 miles away. It is a very good shopping town with an excellent department store called Moores.

Portrush is 8 miles from the cottage and it hosts great beaches and amusement arcades for the children. Over to the east there is Rathlin Island, accessible via a short ferry journey. It is well worth visiting the island in June to see and hear all the nesting sea birds. The Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge is not to be missed but the bridge is not for the faint-hearted especially on a windy day.

The area has many walks including the Coastal Route Walk. This runs along side the rugged coast line and there are many spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean crashing in against the rocks and beaches.

The sense of space, both inside and out, provides a lovely location for a happy holiday.
