Description

Bay Cottage offers guests the choice of two comfortable bedrooms(one ensuite, one with private bathroom) and the use of a cosy sitting room, furnished with an eclectic mix of furniture or a contemporary apartment - all with views of Lough Neagh. Breakfast and the optional evening meal use local produce whenever possible. This includes our own eggs and pork products from the rare breed pigs kept during the summer months and seasonal vegetables and fruit. There are a number of local restaurants offering a wide variety of food to suit all budgets and the menus are available to peruse before deciding on which one to patronize.

There is an extensive range of tourist literature to enable guests to plan their itinerary and Elizabeth is happy to supply any additional information needed.

There is fiction available for guests so that they can sit in front of the fire or outside in the garden and unwind with a cup of tea or coffee and cake or a biscuit (home baked, of course).

The house is close to major road networks so that towns/cities such as Belfast, Ballymena and Lisburn are within easy reach. The Antrim Coast Road and Giant's Causeway are easily accessible, either on main roads or by the more scenic back roads. Antrim town has a number of Golf courses, Clotworthy Gardens, the newly refurbished Court House (the oldest in Ireland) and the Junction One Shopping Centre. Shane’s Castle, host to a number of events during the year, is on the outskirts of the town and the refurbished Camellia House can be seen across the Lough from Bay Cottage. Crumlin is a historic village and is home to the TACT wildlife centre. A short drive away is Randalstown, home to World of Owls and Randalstown Forest, where it is possible to have a very enjoyable circular walk.

Parking is available for a variety of transport ranging from cars to canoes, including motorbikes! An insulated kennel and run is available for canine guests. Please note that pets are not allowed in the house.
