It features an absolute fabulous view over half of Achill Island. The island of Achill is the biggest island of the coast of Ireland and has a lot to offer as such as surfing on the lake or in the sea both only divided by a small golf course (9 hole) as well as stunning cliff scenery and ancient ruins like the deserted village or Kildawnet Castle, Grace O'Malley the Atlantic drive with its rough cliffs. The Minaun Heights 400 metres above sea its giving a most stunning view over half of Mayo on a bright sunny day. No less than 5 blue flag beaches enhance the island. Achill is an island still untouched in some parts with our own climate and vegetation worth a visit a paradise for walkers with sea angling, hiking and our newest adventure the greenway cycle from Westport to Achill, kayaking, kite surfing wind surfing and much more on offer.
