Description

Fanore Clare - Ireland West

Pat and Gill offer their guests a warm welcome providing every effort to ensure that they have an enjoyable stay. Many guests book in for one night but end up staying for two and people often make return visits. The four en-suite bedrooms are comfortably furnished with tv,dvd player, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities. Cabled internet access is freely available.A comfortable sitting room is provided housing a wide selection of books and maps. Nobody will leave feeling hungry as breakfast is plentiful and varied. Home baking is Gill’s speciality together with growing fruit and vegetables which she enjoys using for the breakfast. Pat, who has lived most of his life in Fanore, takes care of the cattle on the 90acre farm which has been farmed by the Mac Namara family for generations. He has researched and photographed the flora in the Burren over a three year period and is happy to share his knowledge. Orchid House benefits from being 1/2mile away from a pub, restaurant, convenience store and a fishing tackle shop. Just 2 miles away there is “Blue Flag” beach which is enjoyed by surfers, swimmers and walkers. Venturing a little further field visitors can access the walking route of the Burren Way, follow well-signposted loop walks through the limestone pavement or walk along the “green roads”, pathways which date back thousands of years. The burren holds the remains of ancient burial sites, holy wells and ring forts whilst also being of worldwide botanical interest with alpine, Mediterranean and maritime flora growing side by side. Special offer... April to October, three nights {two people sharing} 180 euros. Longer stays negotiable.
