Gentian Villa Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of the Burren, in the famously scenic and picturesque village of Ballyvaughan, Co Clare. Owned and managed by the Gannon Family, this beautifully designed bed and breakfast offers guests a warm, comfortable and friendly service. Our accommodation is provided in charming, comfortable bedrooms. Each room has its own private bathroom and a combination of single and double beds to accommodate families, couples or single guests. Wireless internet access and private parking is available. Nestled between Galway Bay and the majestic Burren mountains, our home offers a perfect base if you are exploring the area on foot, bicycle or by car. Ideally located to discover North Clare, view the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, explore the ruggedness of the Burren landscape, enjoy spectacular blue flag beaches or take the ferry to the Aran Islands. Guests avail of the many local walking loops and trails. The Burren Way allows them to meander their way through rich botanical areas of limestone, ancient caves, archaeological wonders, and panoramic views. Megalithic tombs, dolmens, celtic ringforts and medieval castles are only a sample of what the locality has to offer. Located within a short driving distance are, Aillwee Caves (3km), Poulnabrone Dolmen and Caherconnell Stone Fort (6km), and Burren Perfumery (10km) . Traditional pubs and restaurants are within walking distance, serving locally caught seafood and offering traditional music regularly. The village boasts traditional craft shops and our weekly Farmers Market and Craft Fair showcases an array of local produce and craftwork. We would be delighted to organise any arrangements for you regarding guided tours, transportation or reservations.
