Description

Glendalough Wicklow - Ireland East

Bramble Rock is a charming, family-run B&B a mere two kilometres from the wondrous monastic site of Glendalough. Each guestroom is fitted with a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The house also provides you with a garden to relax in and take in the scenery, as well as parking if you are travelling by car. This country home is a great base for visiting a number of glorious areas in Wicklow, the garden of Ireland with the town of Avoca (made famous by the BBC series Ballykissangel)and the resplendent Powerscourt House and Gardens. Guests will also be pleased to note that because Glendalough is beautiful in all seasons, this B&B is conveniently open all year round. Single rooms are an option. Bramble Rock B&B is a veritable walker's paradise. Several scenic organised walks start from the house but guests can also easily venture further afield to investigate the surrounding counties of Wexford, Kildare, Carlow and Dublin. More local attractions include Avondale House, the Wicklow Gap, the Wicklow Way, Mount Usher Gardens and Powerscourt House and Gardens. No matter where you go, this area boasts phenomenal views at every turn that you can also enjoy from the windows of the residence. Great angling spots, walking trails, golf courses and equestrian centres can be found within ten kilometres of the house. As born and bred locals, the hosts can offer guidance and suggest suitable destinations for you to visit and look forward to welcoming you to their home. Your Hosts: Gerard & Ann Duffy
