Description

Bettystown Meath - Ireland East

Set between the seaside villages of Bettystown and Laytown, County Meath, these six, exclusive 300-year-old thatched holiday cottages nestle on the beach front in a gated, hamlet-like setting. Just 25 minutes from Dublin Airport, the Cottages are superbly situated in large, organic flower gardens that run down to a safe, sandy beach. The cottages have been loving renovated to provide an exceptionally high standard of self-catering accommodation with stunning sea views or picturesque garden outlooks. The individual style and design of the cottages varies but characteristically they have vaulted oak beamed ceilings, solid oak flooring, fireplaces, and are furnished throughout with traditional Irish pine furniture. Full gas-fired central heating and double-glazing provide comfortable accommodation throughout the year. Each cottage includes a fully fitted kitchen and luxurious lounge as well as TV, video, DVD, telephone, Internet and well-stocked bookshelves, so visitors have plenty to entertain themselves on quiet days. Close by is a gourmet farm shop whilst there are a number of traditional Irish pubs, excellent restaurants, shops, supermarkets and newsagents within walking distance. The Cottages are a haven of peace and relaxation, just an hour’s drive of many championship golf courses, including Baltray, County Louth, the venue for the 2004 Irish Open, and the K-Club, the host for the 2006 Ryder Cup. A part from golf, other local activities include equestrian, fishing, historic and heritage visits, hiking and more. A luxury coach service travels direct to Dublin City Centre.
