Moygara House is a beautiful old farmhouse that was lovingly restored and extended in 2007. Found near Gurteen, the house sits in a secluded forest setting with amazing views of the mountains. It is the perfect place to find peace and tranquillity combined with modern convenience. Moygara House has four bedrooms. There are two ensuite doubles, one of which is downstairs. Upstairs there are two large twin bedrooms and a bathroom. All bed linen and towels are supplied. The downstairs has a large sitting room with beautiful leather sofa and armchairs. There is also a stove fire set in a magnificent floor-to-ceiling traditional stone fireplace and ample supply of local timber and turf. TV, video, DVD and stereo are installed. Additionally, the landing features a large library of books for guests to enjoy during their stay. The beautiful pine kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences and the dining room has seating for eight. Outside there is a patio area with barbecue and picnic benches. There is a large lawn where children can play. The property is situated in the townland of Moygara, famous for the 12th-century Moygara Castle. It is near Mullagh an Ti mountain, Monasteraden Village and Lough Gara, which is a popular spot for fishing. The nearest shopping village is Gurteen, which is home to many pubs that are famous for Irish music sessions. Nearby are stables with horse riding and a number of golf courses within 50km.
