Egan self catering is a wonderful, three-star accommodation located near Whitegate, which sits along the border of counties Clare and Galway, and near the shores of beautiful Lough Derg. The house features five bedrooms and two bathrooms, including showers alongside a jacuzzi bath. It also has a modern kitchen with excellent cooking facilities, a large dining room, living room with satellite TV, and sun porch with breakfast area. The spacious, private grounds include plenty of parking for boats, trailers and vans as well as an extensive patio area with a gazebo alongside a bespoke barbecue, which is ideal for entertaining. The vast gardens allow plenty of room for children to play alongside the mountainous country walks to the rear of the property. The region is also a noted centre for freshwater fishing and scenic boat cruises due to the proximity of Lough Derg, less than 2km away. Golf is available at the nearby Mountshannon Golf Club, and horse riding, surfing and cycling are on offer in the area as well. Additionally, the Egan property provides an excellent base for exploring the scenic surrounding countryside. Highlights include Portumna Castle and Gardens, and the towns and villages of Whitegate, Mountshannon, Portumna and Scarriff, all home to a fantastic range of pubs and restaurants that are perfect for an evening’s outing. Venturing further afield, Limerick and Galway cities are approximately one hour away. Suitable day trips include Bunratty Caste and Folk Park, the Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee Caves and the Burren.
