Kincasslagh Donegal - Ireland WestDonegal Carrickfinn Cottage is set in a spectacular location surrounded by golden sandy beaches and fringed by West Donegal’s spectacular coastal scenery. Carrickfinn is a quiet, peaceful, safe and secluded holiday haven, in the West Donegal Gaeltacht ideal for children. With its own sauna, and decorated to the highest standard, Carrickfinn Cottage is perfect for a week or a weekend break. The cottage has three ensuite bedrooms and can sleep up to six adults and a child; one bedroom is on the ground floor. The cottage is fully equipped with quality furnishings and decor, yet maintains a traditional Irish cottage feel. There is an open plan living room on the ground floor with an adjoining fully fitted kitchen and dining area. There is a private garden and a parking area. Turf for the open fire is supplied but oil and electricity are metered and charged as per usage. Enjoy this area of outstanding natural beauty, purple covered mountains, lake filled valleys and a coastline blessed with golden sandy beaches. Carrickfinn takes pride in its Blue Flag beach, which is perfect for swimming, canoeing, wind surfing, or scuba diving in unpolluted waters. Carrickfinn is a perfect location for children, artists, writers, photographers and bird watchers. If you are interested in fishing, there is a huge choice of rivers and lakes in which to try your luck. For golfers there are a number of scenic golf courses nearby. Then there are the islands to explore, a King to be met (on Tory Island) and the highest peak in Donegal to be climbed. And, to end the day, take a short walk to the nearest beach and watch the sun go down over the Atlantic Ocean.
