Description

Droumkeal Cottage is situated in a peaceful countryside location, about 1km from Ballylickey Bay in County Cork. The cottage is situated 10 minutes from both Bantry Town and Glengarriff Village. It is a tastefully restored traditional house, which has been owned by the same family since 1977. It is a pet-friendly property and has an enclosed private garden where four-legged friends can play. There are also scenic mountain and countryside views to take in. The cottage can sleep up to five adults and a baby within its two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. The bathroom has a separate bath and shower area. Guests can relax in front of the open fireplace in the sitting room, which also has a TV. They can also prepare meals in the kitchen, which is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker, washing machine and dryer. There is a separate dinning area within the sunny conservatory. Towels and linen are supplied free of charge, however electricity and the oil central heating are charged extra based on the meter reading. Visitors to Droumkeal Cottage are spoilt for choice with excellent local restaurants, shops, pubs, hotels, playgrounds and craft centres. There is also a wide range of outdoor activities, such as walks along the Sheep's Head Way and Glengarriff National Forest Park. There are bicycles for hire in Bantry. Boat trips are available from Bantry Pier to Whiddy Island and from Glengarriff to Garnish Island. There is also river, lake and sea fishing, and two local golf courses: an 18-hole in Bantry and a nine-hole in Glengarriff.
