Description

Culdaff Donegal - Ireland West

First opened for business in 1924, McGrory’s of Culdaff has long been a hotel that provides a friendly welcome, quality food and drink, and traditional Irish music in County Donegal. It comprises 17 uniquely styled bedrooms, all of which are ensuite with excellent facilities. Each has a TV, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, while many include the original exposed stone walls of the building. After a good night’s rest, guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast at McGrory’s, a member of Good Food Ireland. The hotel also serves dinner and Sunday lunch in its 60-seater restaurant, which places an emphasis on seafood, excellent steaks and high-quality lamb, with vegetarian options available as well. The hotel's Front Bar is a haven for lovers of traditional Irish music, as it regularly hosts local and visiting musicians. Meanwhile, the Backroom bar serves as a music and entertainment venue as well as a function room for weddings, confrences, meetings and more. Located just 10km from Carndonagh, Culdaff Village is an ideal base for anyone touring Inishowen. Visitors can enjoy daytrips to Doagh Famine Village, Glenveagh National Park and Dunlewey. The village is also home to a pristine Blue Flag beach and the Culdaff River, noted for its salmon and trout fishing. Additionally, the region offers golfing, hill walking, rock climbing, surfing and horse riding.
