Laois - Ireland EastThe Traditional Farm Hostel is the ideal destination for a relaxing, country escape. It is located on a working farm near Ballacolla, County Laois and offers 10 double, twin and family rooms, all ensuite. Some of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. Guests can enjoy the pleasant landscape of the farm as well its collection of sculptures made from old machinery. The hostel is situated about 30km from Kilkenny. Outdoors enthusiasts will enjoy exploring the nearby Slieve Bloom Mountains and Granstown Lake, while history buffs can visit Clough, an 18th-century village, and Abbeyleix, an elegant heritage town.
