The hotel has been in operation since the 1960's and has an old world elegant charm. The hotel comprises of ten ensuite rooms, the Front Bar, Pepé's Restaurant, a night club and conference facilities. The Ormond Hotel is host to Maximus night club which has an exciting selection of DJ’s every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. In Nenagh Town you can visit Nenagh Castle, with its unique circular tower built in the 13th century or the old gaol, with its beautiful octagonal governor's residence. The Ormond Hotel is a great location from which to experieince the pilgrimage destination of Lough Derg, which also boasts various fishing and water sport facilities.
