The Piker's Lodge is newly refurbished and ideally situated on Lough Gowna, one of the best areas for coarse fishing in Europe, with some 1,800 acres (728 hectares) of waters to be fished. With 21 bedrooms, The Piker's Lodge, is small enough to offer the truly personal service which guests have come to expect. Room facilities include ensuite, tea/coffee, multi-channel TV and direct dial telephone. Main facilities include room service, ample car parking, bait shed, drying and cold rooms. Situated in the tranquil village of Lough Gowna on the Cavan-Longford border, visitors can take leisurely country strolls along developed walkways through wildlife sanctuaries amid the natural flora and fauna. There is also much evidence of an ancient settlement. The village of Lough Gowna has been judged one of the tidiest villages for the past number of years.
