Splendid Seaweed!

Seaweed is full of natural goodness and tastes great now too, thanks to Prannie!

Seaweed Beauty

Seaweed Beauty

In recent years, seaweed baths have soared in popularity.  A seaweed bath is a natural relaxing experience with numerous therapeutic benefits due to its high mineral content. Try the family run Ballybunion seaweed baths in Kerry or the Bundoran baths  in Donegal, who regularly collect the seaweed themselves from nearby beaches. Ireland also offers several spa facilities, many situated in beautiful grounds with breath taking scenery who offer seaweed treatments.

I'm interested in some seaweed bathing….

Cooking with seaweed

Win a Seaweed Cookbook!

Prannie Rhatigan, from Ireland's North West, has written a new seaweed recipe book.  As a  Doctor, Prannie knows the health benefits of cooking with seaweed and has managed to conjure up some amazingly tasty recipes using seaweed she picks from the sea shore! Recipes are wide and varied and include dishes such as: Sea spaghetti cookies, Christmas puddings with brandied sea spaghetti and even seaweed smoothies! We're giving away six copies of Prannie's new book “Irish Seaweed Kitchen”.

I want to win one of Prannie's recipe books!

Donegal

Beautiful Donegal

Donegals coastline offers dramatic scenery and some of the countrys best seaweed. Get up close to the area's sealife on the Donegal Bay Seafari! Discover the unspoilt, undiscovered area whilst walking, fishing, golfing or enjoying a spa treat! In this friendly region Irish tradition is still strong. There's a regular schedule of traditional music, song and dance, free for all to join and many gaeltacht speaking areas amongst the region.

Donegal is where I want to go!
