A feast of music has been laid out for Connemara Sea Week with such wonderful players as Liz and Yvonne Kane, Matie Joe Sheamuis - pipes and vocals, Johnny Connolly - box, Marcus Hernon - flute, Don Stiff - vocals & friends, and lots more. There will be music workshops, mini boat regatta, book fair, etc. The theme of the The Conamara Sea Week Conference 2009 is 'Looking Back on 25 Years'. Over the years, the Conamara Sea Week 'Conference' (more a gathering) has thrown up an extraordinary eclectic mix of speakers from many disciplines and many parts of the world. This birthday celebration presents a representative sample of the various gatherings which took place over the last 25 years. Contributors to this year's 'Conference' will be - Dr Simon Berrow, Doug Allan, Dawson Stellfox, Tom Lawlor, Marguerite McCurtain, Faith Wilson, Fiona O'Farrell, Eithne Griffin, Michael Gorman, Eva Bourke, Moya Cannon, Mary O'Malley, Deirdre Herbert and Conor Keane. The Highlight of Conamara Sea Week 2009 is The Parish Dinner which takes place at Renvyle House Hotel on Sunday, 18th October, at 20.30.
