The annual Oughterard Show takes place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August, 2012. Saturday's events are entirely devoted to International Connemara Pony Performance Championships with competitors coming from Great Britain and all parts of Ireland. Sunday's events include classes for exhibiting cattle, sheep, ponies, horses, donkeys, dogs, pets, vintage machinery, arts, crafts and farm produce, as well as working sheep dog demonstrations, and a wide range of activities and entertainment organised to cater for all age groups.
