Beshoffs, les célèbres boutiques irlandaises de Fish & Chips, ont été fondées par Ivan Beshoff, un marin né en Ukraine et qui a servi dans l’armée du Tsar Nicolas II. Il participa même à la mutinerie sur le navire de guerre Potemkin en 1905, et arriva sur le sol irlandais en 1914. Il ouvrit sa première boutique en 1922 sur Usher’s Quay à Dublin, et aujourd’hui Beshoffs fait partie des boutiques de Fish & Chips préférées de la capitale.
