- Angling Description: With 4 miles of fishing extending down stream from Holycross to Ardmayle it is ideally located for the angler. The river in this area has its own distinctive quality and good diversity of fishing water. The flow of the river is characterised by deep and shallow flides interrupted by shallow ripples lying mainly on a bed of limestone making it an ideal place for the production of brown trout. Your host at Abbeyvale is Mary and her husband Ed is a keen fly fisherman who will offer sound and informative advice and guidance. Permits are provided. This season Mary and Ed are offering fly fishing tuition breaks with the famous Peter O' Reilly. The break includes full accommodation, tuition and permits at a very good price.
