Directions
Start from the town of Thurles just off the national route N8 from Dublin to Cork. Take the R498 (signposted Nenagh) for 2.5km to reach a junction with the R503 (signposted Limerick). Follow the R503 for 13km to reach a crossroads with a stone nameplate Upperchurch. Turn right here and travel 500m – the Community Centre is at the T-junction as you enter the village.

Grimpez sur la colline de Tipperary comme le fit Eamonn a Chnoic au 17-18e siècle. Ce personnage, tel Robin des Bois, était à cette époque le champion de la cause des pauvres contre les colons anglais. Aujourd’hui, l’endroit est nettement plus calme : prairies fleuries, champs verdoyants entrelacés de haies en font le décor. La randonnée démarre et se termine au village de Upperchurch
