Strandhill —County Sligo
Strandhill is a seaside village and quiet holiday resort located on the R292- it is roughly 7 miles form Sligo town and it is about 10-15 minutes in a car form the town.
You can appreciate the exhilarating waves, which surfers particularly enjoy.
Please note that swimming is forbidden at Strandhill beach. Due to the very strong currents.
Strandhill with its wild Atlantic waves is also a very popular spot for surfers. It is said that it is one of the best places in Europe to surf and there are often competitions held out there to prove this.
