Notes & Narratives

Dublin City

20 enero 2012 - 21 diciembre 2012

Notes and Narratives provides a unique opportunity for musicians, singers and dancers to showcase valuable researched material in an engaging and entertaining format. The series, which takes place at NPU's restored Georgian headquarters at 15 Henrietta Street, will appeal to the general public, students, enthusiasts and fellow practitioners of the traditional arts keen to enhance their overall appreciation of music, song and dance. Lectures/performances run for up to 45 minutes followed by an open discussion to provide the audience with an opportunity to engage with the performers. The aim of the series is to strengthen the legacy of Na Píobairí Uilleann's founding members Breandán Breathnach and Seán Reid by helping to support and encourage research into the traditional arts. All material presented will be housed in NPU's archive. The event is supported by The Arts Council & Dublin City Council.
