Ireland West
We take great pride in everything we produce, baking all our breads in-house, sourcing as local as possible, and using only the best produce. Our coffee is handroasted in Ireland, is fairtrade and prepared by trained barista's. We even grow our own herbs in our organic garden out back. We cater for wheat free diets, baking our own wheat free bread & yummy chocolate cake. We have free parking right outside the door. We accept Cash and Visa. We open 7 days a week. Shells Cafe has been so inspired by the local landscape, surf, people and food that they have just released The Surf Cafe Cookbook. The Surf Cafe Cookbook is about cooking, eating, surfing and making the most of life the Irish way. It’s a compilation of easy-to-make and tasty recipes, tips from local producers, a guide to the beautiful area of Strandhill and its vibrant culture. From foraging on the beach to creating the perfect brunch to mixing homemade Baileys, it encourages the reader to make locally produced food that’s fresh, fun, unpretentious and tasty - www.thesurfcafecookbook.com We have an abundance of activities on our doorstep, from world class waves, to amazing walks and everything in between. We are neighboured by the wonderful seaweed baths Voya and a great surf school, Perfect Day on the other side. In the area you can also do mountain biking with Northwest Adventures, or why not pick up a trail guide in Shells and do one of the many walks. If that doesn’t get you going, then there is even flying lessons, a golf course and a driving range. Something for everyone.
