Mohill —County Leitrim
Mohill - (a pretty lake between high banks). It is a lively market town east of the River Shannon with a selection of excellent waters. In the town of Mohill is a remnant of an important Monastery founded in 608 by St. Manchan.
There are a number of lakes in the Mohill area the ones to note are Lough Rynn which has the house and gardens home of the 3rd Earl of Leitrim, Greenagh Lake, Lough MacHugh, Cloonbonaigh Lake and Lough Erril. All of these lakes are easily accessed. All the waters are signposted well and if there is an area where you are unable to fish then there is a stand instead where you can fish.
