Avoca —County Wicklow

Avoca village continues to be synonymous with the popular BBC TV series 'Ballykissangel' which has ensured that 'Fitzgerald's Pub' is put on the 'must visit' list for any follower of the series. The village is situated in an idyllic setting in the heart of the beautiful Vale of Avoca. Just outside the village is the famous Meetings of the Waters, which Thomas Moore immortalised. Moore's bar, at the 'Meetings' provides music all year round and is a great place for fun and a bit of 'craic'. Other local tourist attractions include forest and hill walks, the Motte Stone, Avoca Hand weavers, craft shops, traditional music, trout fishing and golf.
