IVVCC Annual Car Run at Powerscourt Estate

Enniskerry

18 August 2013

Celebrate Heritage Week at Powerscourt Estate! Join the largest motor club in Ireland, the Irish Vintage and Veteran Car Club (IVVCC) for their 36th run at Powerscourt. This event is held annually at the Estate and is one of the most enjoyable events in their calendar. Chat with motor enthusiasts and marvel at the stylish array of vintage vehicles at the event! Everyone is welcome to come dressed to impress in their best vintage clothes! Many car owners dress up to match the age of their vehicles so expect plenty of razzle dazzle such as feminine flapper dresses from the roaring 20's. Prizes are awarded for best dressed male, female and families. Many other prizes for the cars are awarded including the Slazenger Powerscourt Perpetual Trophy which is chosen by Bridget Greaves, who has worked at Powerscourt for over 35 years. The event is free of charge and takes palce from 2pm to 5.30pm. Wander around the vehicles and have your photo taken alongside these stunning vintage vehicles. Music plays a big part in the relaxed atmosphere and there will be live music at the event! Bring your family and friends and make a day of it by visiting Powerscourt Gardens.
