This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the traditional music of south Sligo. Summer sessions are held on Wednesday and Saturday nights, in a theatre setting, at 9pm during July and August. Complimentary tea/coffee is served at the session. The participating artists are nationally and internationally acclaimed for their traditional music. The venue hosting the sessions is a state of the art music centre, open daily, Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 6pm, all year round. Its attractions include an audio visual and an interactive display on the history of traditional Irish music. There is also a music/gift shop stocking a large selection of traditional CDs, music books, musical instruments, local crafts, etc. For the remainder of the year, you can still enjoy the session, but must be pre-booked at Ceoláras Coleman. These pre booked sessions can be at an arranged time, day or evening. A bodhrán lesson can be arranged during the show for your group on request. You are guaranteed a very special experience of the traditional arts in the home of traditional music. Dates to be confirmed.
