Recognised by the Frommers Guide as 'one of the best small festivals in the world' Wexford Festival Opera presents an annual trio of rarely performed operas in the unique atmosphere of Wexford Town. It attracts enthusiastic audiences from all around the world who are delighted by the high quality productions on offer annually. The programme in 2013 will feature productions of Il cappello di paglia di Firenze (The Florentine Straw Hat) by Nino Rota; Thérèse / La Navarraise by Jules Massenet; and Cristina, regina di Svezia by Jacopo Foroni. Far from being satisfied with presenting three productions, also on offer will be a packed programme of morning events, lunchtime concerts, afternoon ShortWorks, recitals and late night revues.
