There are craft stalls and local schools singing Christmas carols in the lower square. The Kilmorey Arms Hotel offers free mince pies and mulled wine during the day. There is also a horse drawn carriage parade through the town, with the evening drawing to a close when Santa arrives to turn on the lights. After that comes the very popular light parade when young and old alike dress their vehicles with lights and adorn them with Christmas decorations and parade through the town.
