Rocky Shore Exploration
10 Juli 2013 - 09 August 2013
This event takes you down to the rarely explored Atlantic Coastline at Loophead, at low Spring tide to discover all the species, seaweeds, anemones, fish, molluscs and so forth inhabiting this place. Explore who eats who, who needs who to survive. Learn about the seaweeds living on the various zones within the shore, and perhaps a Furbellows kelp or two washed up in stormy tides. This is a wonderful opportunity to reunite with the coastline, in a unique island that has 2600miles of coastline. The shore is relatively sheltered, but leads out to Ross Point, the destination for the partial filming of Ryans Daughter in 1969/69.
