Killarney Summerfest 2013 will be bustling with a myriad of activities for all the family from the 27th July to the 5th August. The festival programme offers a fantastic range of outdoor activities set amongst the breathtaking lakes, hills, valleys and mountains of Killarney. An abundance of children's activities throughout the day await with dozens of arts and creativity workshops and a sensational week-long programme of events to keep all the family happy. By day you can have action-packed fun days exploring Killarney's lakes, hills, valleys and mountains with a series of outdoor pursuits and excursions which will take in the very best sights and views Killarney has to offer. These will run throughout the entire festival and include dawn and sunset kayaking on Killarney's lakes and rivers, rock climbing at the Gap of Dunloe, hikes along the Kerry Way and escorted climbs of the McGillycuddy reeks and Carrantuohill, Ireland's highest mountain. One of this year's main attractions will see Killarney's town centre being pedestrianised for a free festival where visitors will experience a spectacle like never before as a host of international professional street performers, puppeteers, magicians, musicians and street theatre performers descend on the town.
