Art of the State in Enniscorthy Castle

Enniscorthy

08 Dezember 2012 - 13 Januar 2013

This cross-border collaborative art exhibition has been running since the late 1990's, but we are delighted that this is the first time the National State of the Art exhibition has exhibited in County Wexford. An annual event in four locations (in Northern and Southern Ireland), this particular exhibition, entitled 'Elements' focuses on the theme of the four elements - earth, air, fire and water. The exhibition is a mix of contemporary and historic pieces, and brings together works that normally hang in public buildings such as Dublin Castle, Government Departments and Northern Irish civil service offices. The exhibition includes pieces from up-and-coming artists such as Michelle Considine, and Gabhann Dunne, and more established artists such as Blaise Drummond, Patrick Hall, John Kindness and Dorothy Cross. This is a wonderful opportunity to see beautiful works of art from the National Art Collections.
