- Conference Information: The Parade Tower is Kilkenny Castle’s dedicated functions area. It incorporates the entire west wing and includes two of the Castle’s medieval towers. It is a multi-purpose venue, which was designed to accommodate conferences, receptions, gala dinners as well as cultural and artistic events. The old and the new have been cleverly integrated in this very exciting venue.
- Opening Hours: October to February, daily 9.30am - 16.30pm. March; 9.30 - 17.00 April and May, daily, 9.30am to 5.30pm. June to August, daily 9.00am to 5.30pm. September, daily, 9.30am to 5.30pm. Closed on Good Friday. Check with site for opening arrangements over Christmas and New Year Last admissions - half hour before closing time. Photography /filming not permitted. NOTE: Groups of 10 people or over must be pre booked.

Kilkenny Castle
Kilkenny City Kilkenny - Ireland SouthThe magnificent Kilkenny Castle overlooks the River Nore and has guarded this important river crossing for more than 900 years. The Castle Gardens around Kilkenny Castle, with extensive woodland paths, rose garden and ornamental lake, are well worth a visit. A 12th century castle remodelled in Victorian times and set in extensive parkland which was the principal seat of the Butler Family. Two wings of the Castle have been restored to their 19th century splendour and include a Library, Drawing Room and the magnificent Long Gallery. The final phase of restoration is complete and includes a state-of-the-art conference centre which is situated in one of the Castle's 12th century towers. The River Wing also houses the Butler Gallery of Contemporary Art. SEE UP COMING EVENTS - END OF PAGE Please note that this site is very busy and visitors may experience a delay during the summer months. Visitors will be able to explore the Castle at their leisure. In addition to our information sheet, they will also be met along the way by our dedicated Information/Guide Officers who will tell them more about the Castle's rich history, its magnificent Period Rooms and answer any question that people may have. Last admissions - half hour before closing time. Free Fridays - Admission to Kilkenny Castle will be free of charge on Fridays in April – with the exception of Good Friday when Castle will be closed.
